Bird watching around Shimla

Mashobra valley hike is a wholesome experience of a mountain countryside walk, with a peek into the natural, social and cultural aspects of Himalaya. The meandering trails, under the shade of Cedar grooves, become a home typical Himalayan flora and provide ample chances to admire the rich Himalayan bird life. A, four hours of moderately graded walk is an excellent way to appreciate the life of Himalaya along with its beautifully carved temples. This countryside walk, also introduce travellers with wide range of beautiful Himalayan birds. One of the lasting pleasures of a walk in these woods is the alluring calls from un-sighted birds. Easily traced are the whistling thrushes, magpies, tits and woodpeckers. Flycatchers pirouette in mid air to claim their catch, while nuthatches and tree creepers comb the fissures
in the bark of conifers.

Drive 45 minutes into Mshaobra Valley and set out to experience the natural and cultural magnificence of the area. The initial sections of the walk passes through an old Cedar forest descend further marks the clearing into the forest with small houses and terrace fields. Visit a village and communicate with the local folks. The village also   unveils a magnificent panorama of deep valleys clustered with tiny houses and green terraces growing variety of food grains and vegetables. Enjoy the flat section of the walk with beautiful scenery until we reach to the lunch point. Finally, gear up for the last uphill stretch and drive back to the hotel.
